Life...Could It BE Any More Boring?
So my life isnt real interesting right now? So what? What...thats what. Since I last wrote anything, I have done two things: study MCAT and hang out at Mitzi's place with her and some combination of her, Kelly, and my sister. Fun times.
So how's about I took some horribly bad test that said I would "make whoopy" 742 times on my honeymoon. That doesnt seem possible, unless the vacation lasts about a month and a half. But if any could do it...(I'll quit talking now, before it gets too uncomfortable)
My intership starts Monday, so I might actually have something interesting to talk about...eventually. Until then I will leave you with a copy of the lyrics to my new favorite song The Meow Mix Song:
I want chicken
I want liver
Meow Mix Meow Mix
Please Deliver
I want chicken
I want liver
Meow Mix Meow Mix
Please Deliver
I want chicken
I want liver
Meow Mix Meow Mix
Please Deliver
I want chicken
I want liver
Meow Mix Meow Mix
Please Deliver
I got that goin' for me...
These past few days have been, for lack of a better term, curflascious. That's right. I made up a word to associate with the feelings I have had. Try and decide what "curflascious" actually means, then I might be able to submit it to the Webester folks.
Yesterday the good feelings were flowing. I got done with class at 11, gave a tour until 12, and then went back to the apartment with nothing else on my plate until 6 o' clock. That meant lunch and nap. Greatest nap EVER. It started out as one of those "I am only going to sit in the bed and think about the day's events" naps, which thusly turned into one of those "What it is already 5:45? I guess I kinda passed out" naps. Then at 6 DODGEBALL. That's right. Dodgeball mixer with ADPi. Good times, but I only got to play one game (that was because I tried to throw at somebody and ended up breaking a couple of windows in the gym). Not really. I had to go to All-Sing practice. Loads of fun. Then Rodel and I had a philosophical discussion about medicine and life over at the Burger King. Then more All-Sing. Life will be so much easier after Saturday. By easier I mean about the same and still pretty much suck very badly. Not not kidding.
Today is pretty much the same ole garbage. Class, failing out miserably, and doing whatever I can to not look like a complete jackass. That last one isnt working out so well. Gotta do what you can with what you got. So yeah...I got that goin' for me...HOLLA!

"One more dawn, one more day, one day more." Does quoting Les Mis make me a fruitcake? I dont think so. There are plenty of other things that make me a fruitcake. I will, however, plead the fifth as to what those are.
Spring Break is one day away. Leaving for San Diego Saturday morning. Sure, I have to go to the national American Chemical Society meeting a couple of days, but there are some cool things going on. On Sunday Rodel, a few others, and ya boy over here are going to be giving Chemistry demonstrations for some kids in the park in Spanish (doesnt that sound like awesomeness in its purest form?). Plus, we have one whole free day and about half of another one and every night (i.e. PARTYING IT UP). I'll probably check out the Zoo, the beach, the colleges, and Sombraro's (which legend holds has huge burritos). I am looking forward to it. There is no telling what will happen. KWAZY KRISPS! BOWOW! THAT'S KWAZY!
I figured that last weekend would be the worst weekend of my life. Saturday I was supposed to be at school at 8 to help the Boy Scouts get a Chemistry Merit Badge, PA a doubleheader for the baseball team starting at 11:30, and then set up for and be in charge of the Blacklight Party from 6:30 until like 3:00 or so. It is funny how things work out, though. The Boy Scout thing got cancelled. The baseball games actually proved to be entertaining since UTM won both in their last at bat. Good times. On top of that, most of the setup was done when I got to the House. Now the dread of having to deal with way too many "forsnickered" folks was still there; however, the night seemed to take a pleasant turn for the better around 10:30 or so in the form of a lady named Aubrey. I cant really explain it, but as soon as I saw her I felt one of those "punch in the stomach" kind of feeling (the good kind). Havent had one of those in a long while. She is one of those amazingly beautiful girls (5'10" with hair that curls in all the right spots, eyes as blue as the ocean, and even more than I could possibly try to write). You know, the ones that usually throw blunt objects at my head if I come within three feet of them. Since that didnt happend, I tried to play it smooth. I wanted to just stay and kick it with her for the rest of the night, alas (trying to bring the word back since it is the coolest word EVER) I had to keep roaming around making sure that no one was forsnickered to the point of jumping off the roof, the stairs, or anything over three inches above the ground. I saw her a couple of more times, then around 1:00 I said to myself, "Screw roaming around, I gotta talk to this girl or I will punch myself in the brain." Just as I thought about this, she happened to walk by (what luck). So we talked until the party shut down at 2:00, then headed out to the after party to continue the conversation. We talked for awhile...yada, yada, yada...we talked until about 7:00 in the morning. Good times. I am having a great time getting to know her, and having her get to know me over these past few days. I cant explain everything that I'm feeling. No words of mine could do justice. There you go. So the weekend was actually only the second worst weekend ever (j/k). Isn't it crazy how things work out?
Since I have been rattling on for a while now, I will spare you the other sorted activities of my life...and since there really arent any more, this will be the end. HOLLA!
Yeah...sure...-SIGH-
That pretty much sums up all the happenings in my life over the last few weeks. Class, food, sleep, countless toils in romance, meetings, and repeat (one of those isnt true. guess the right one and win!) Anyways, nothing too bad.
Ya boy is going to San Diego on Spring Break. OK...it is with the Chemistry club people, but that's OK. I'll get to work my "animal magnetism" on all of the crazy Chemistry girls from all over the country. By "animal magnetism" I mean stalking. Rodel said to me that he is thinking of going over the boarder to Mexico. So I said that he could go but couldnt get back in b/c he looks Mexican. Then he punched me in the face...twice.
44 days until the MCAT. I still dont know if I will take it as scheduled in April or pull the single most wussified act in the history of the world and wait until August. Will I wuss out? Can dust mites cause cancer? Who will be named America's Next Top Model? Stay tuned for the answers at 11.
Now I am rambling.
OIencklglkna, mfhasjdfhnasjckckkkjeilmcbwpoi. THAT was gibberish (however, still more coherent then any of my previous statements). Anyways...I am off on another one of my CRAZY adventures (i.e. studying). Holla!
So I have a little time, thus I will spout off a few things I have on my mind.
So, today I got to enjoy reading an email from my Dad that he got from my aunt about how I look like my Great, Great Uncle Townes (that would be the guy that founded the Pharmacy school at the University of Florida and my dad's namesake). Anyways, look at the picture. Does this mean that I look like a combination of the guy who always got beat up in gym class and Mister Rogers? I dont know. I guess I dont see it.

Lets see...what else? I did get to wear a Polo shirt today and I flipped the collar up for about five minutes just to see what would happen. Dirtiest looks EVER. People are just jealous, or I am stupid. Either way...
I got my Poly Sci test back today. 101! Holla at ya Boy. :-\ (That is the face of me eating oranges in celebration. Again, more dirty looks.)
So I went home this weekend. Nothing too eventful. I got to go shopping! Always fun. I spent about an hour picking out shirts and ties that matched. Loads of fun.
Then I just got to chill. I saw Mitzi for a bit; always an adventure. Sunday I came back to Martin after church and lunch, had some more churchin', played in the worst basketball game EVER (as we got mercy ruled by 30 points for the third game in a row), and then chilled in Shanna's room until I was forceably removed around midnight or so (at least that is what the police report says. j/k!!!)
Anyways, that is about it. So yeah...
Does this really matter, since no one reads this?
So it has been a little while. Still nothing interesting has happened. You would think after a week and a half that something would have happened...but no. Thus, I will merely take ordinary boring things that did happen and blow them WAY out of proportion. This most definitely has been the WORST week EVER! OK, probably not. But since I am blowing things out of proportion, it is now. It was "concentrated recruitment week" (i.e. RUSH). I hate rush. It sucks. Especially in the spring, at least half the guys are repledges (thus, know where they are going) and the other half consist of two good guys and enough tools to fill a Home Depot. So I gotta show up and put out the BS like there is no tomorrow. I hate that. Such garbage.
To add to the "fun" of the week I also had 4 tests. Genetics: I get the test back and the prof tells me that his records have me as Leigh Townes and since I wrote Tucker Leigh on the test his head exploded twice. Lovely. If only that was all I had to do. Then yesterday I had an A&P test and a Physical Chemistry test back-to-back. To cap all that off, my Poly Sci test is tomorrow. That should be pretty easy, though.
Even more fun: On Monday morning I had to finish a lab for P-Chem, so I got into one of the Organic labs. Dr. Devenyi (I dont care if I spell his name right, since he hates me like Hilter) walked in and I said, "Hi, Dr. Devenyi. How are you?" He responds with nothing but a glare, as though I asked him if he would mind jumping out of the window so I could test my theory that he is in fact Lucifer himself. Ole punk self...Then today in P-Chem lab, I spent 3 hours to gain absolutely nothing at all. I tried to make this calorimeter fire 5 times, and it never worked. Maybe things will get better tonight when I go to McKenzie for an ACS meeting teaching middle-aged chemistry professors how to make their own beer.
-MAYBE I WILL; GOSH!-
So yeah...I got that going for me. That and I did get to hear new Kelly Clarkson song "Since You've Been Gone" while we were in the lab working. The high point of the week came when after doing some voice work for the Communications Department, I received a dollar and bought a Chocolate Moose. Sad, but true; the highlight of my week is a milk beverage. Anyways, until something else happens or I feel the need to compulsively lie...
Just as I Promised
So yeah...nothing new has happened since 11:30, but I promised that I would put up this picture from Shanna's birthday back in December, since she got mad at me because I called her my "movie watching companion." So yeah...
Slama Lama Ding Dong
So yeah...There isnt too much going on right now. But since I must be funny in order for people to like me, here goes nothing.
This weekend I got to go to Crossroads in Chattanooga, which is a convention of the college aged folks from Baptist churches in TN, GA, AL, and SC. It was a moving experience. It was also very cold, as I found out when I went outside for about two and a half hours with no jacket on (that was stupid). But whatever. I got to talk with some street guys with some other people that were there with me. Good stuff.
Also, as a mission project, we went as a group to a widow's house and cleaned up her backyard and recovered her roof. Me being the greatest handyman ever (ha!!!), I was put on the roof. We were on that stinkin' roof for six and a half hours straight. But two good things came from it:
1. The satisfaction of knowing that I was part of spreading God's love to another person
2. I am NOT changing my major to roofing anytime soon.
Really that is it. Maybe something funny will happen later today. We'll see. Holla.
